Rights of Patients
- The right to be treated with dignity. The right to be free of discrimination, coercion, harassment, and exploitation.
- The right to dignity and self-sufficiency
- The right to reasonably priced services
- The right to clear communication
- The right to be fully informed about the estimated expense of treatment, as well as the advantages and risks.
- The right to make an informed decision and provide informed consent
- Right to support the right to change hospitals at any moment (at your risk which may be explained to you)
- Right to file a formal complaint with management.
Responsibilities of the Patient
- Participate in the creation of an individual care plan with nursing staff to ensure that your personal requirements and care are addressed.
- Please include as much information about your past medical/surgical history as possible to ensure safe treatment and care.
- Inform personnel of any changes in your condition or circumstances.
- Maintain your own health and function while in the hospital, with help from nursing professionals as needed.
- Other patients' rights, needs, and dignity should be respected.
- Be considerate of your employees' rights and professional opinions.
- Respect company policies, such as safety, security, no smoking, people's privacy and confidentiality, visiting hours, and so on
- Handle hospital property with care and only use it for the intended purpose.
- Follow the directions of staff in case of any emergencies
