Rights of Patients

  • The right to be treated with dignity. The right to be free of discrimination, coercion, harassment, and exploitation.
  • The right to dignity and self-sufficiency
  • The right to reasonably priced services
  • The right to clear communication
  • The right to be fully informed about the estimated expense of treatment, as well as the advantages and risks.
  • The right to make an informed decision and provide informed consent
  • Right to support the right to change hospitals at any moment (at your risk which may be explained to you)
  • Right to file a formal complaint with management.

Responsibilities of the Patient

  • Participate in the creation of an individual care plan with nursing staff to ensure that your personal requirements and care are addressed.
  • Please include as much information about your past medical/surgical history as possible to ensure safe treatment and care.
  • Inform personnel of any changes in your condition or circumstances.
  • Maintain your own health and function while in the hospital, with help from nursing professionals as needed.
  • Other patients' rights, needs, and dignity should be respected.
  • Be considerate of your employees' rights and professional opinions.
  • Respect company policies, such as safety, security, no smoking, people's privacy and confidentiality, visiting hours, and so on
  • Handle hospital property with care and only use it for the intended purpose.
  • Follow the directions of staff in case of any emergencies
